Honolulu was live trapped in ME Iowa and has come along nicely since she was brought to her foster home. She is still a bit skittish until you pick her up, then she will snuggle and purr. She is a bit more quiet than her 'cousins' Ko' Olina and Waikiki, but has started to play and interact more now that she's gotten used to being here. She will probably have a quieter personality and not be a real rousty kitten like some her age can be. She is a beautiful little Patched Tabby and white - altho some may call her a Calico - and she looks so much like Ko' Olina they could be sisters, but she is a tad bit older. Guess-timated birthday would be late July or so, putting her at about 3 months in October. She has had her first vaccinations, tested negative for Felk/FIV and been treated for parasites. Kittens have to be treated more than once for parasites and are usually done routinely ever 2-3 weeks in the first few months of their lives, especially those who have been outside kitties. Worms, coccidia and giardia are normal parasites that can be treated easily with medication.
Honolulu is ready to be out of a cage and into your home... where she can be part of a loving family! I'm sure once she gets into her new home, her true personality will shine when she gets used to everything around her! She plays a lot more delicately than most kittens - but to some, that may be a bonus because kittens can be pretty wild! She is a sweetheart, though, and a very pretty kitty!
12/26/12... Honolulu is back up for adoption after being successfully treated and cleared of a slight case of ringworm on her ears. She is a beautiful little Patched Tabby and white kitten who is now about 5 1/2 months old now; she will be spayed & receive her final vaccinations right after the new year. She gets along fabulously with Miracle, Waikiki and her nearly identical 'cousin', Ko'Olina, but she is a little more timid and afraid than her friends are. She will cuddle and purr once you pick her up, but for some reason, her first instinct is still to hiss... but her foster mom has gotten used to that just being her 'HELLO' greeting, as opposed to the other kittens scrambling to get the first scratch and lovin'... we all know each kitty can be as different as night and day with their personalities, as can humans - but perhaps she will blossom and her true, sweet, loving personality will shine through when she meets HER PURR-SON... could that be YOU?
