Almost doesn't seem possible this is the same frightened kitten -- but with a little snuggling, lottsa love and whispers of sweet nothings in his ear, he quickly realized he was safe and sound and settled right in to enjoy his new surroundings and foster mama's love and attention! He LOVES other cats - he is always cuddling others in the foster home, and he rubs up against them, too! If you are looking for a companion for your kitty, Porter may just be your boy! PREFER TO HAVE HIM ADOPTED INTO A HOME WITH A FRIENDLY KITTY SO HE CAN HAVE A BUDDY! He can be a bit skittish with new people, but we are certain with the right family who lets him get totally used to all the sights, sounds and smells in her new home, he will be purrfectly content and be an awesome companion! ................................................................................................................................ In July 1, xxxx we caught an adorable and beautiful group of kittens who were born feral on a property belonging to true cat lovers. These ferals have a better life than some cats living in homes, with a heated and/or air conditioned garage to get into whenever they want to, and food is plentiful and always available. Their property is well maintained and is a playground for their beloved outdoor cats and other wildlife, and they also make provisions for them under the numerous fir trees, to keep them comfortable as well. The only downfall is they haven't had any of them spayed or neutered and therefore many litters are born every year... This year they have taken our advice about getting them vetted to prevent not only more kittens being born, but for the health of the cats as well, and are working diligently with us to get them all vetted, going above the traditional 'TNR' requirements and getting them fully vetted as though they are indoor cats - which is a true testament of their love for them. The females have always brought their kittens up to the house, and by doing so, they get to know these people so they aren't as wild and afraid as traditional feral kittens who have never had human contact. The garage attached to the house is actually an indoor play area for kittens, and the mama cats come and go through the cat door, while the kittens frolic and play like normal kittens - getting used to scratching posts, litter boxes, toys, etc! He has been completely vetted - neutered, tested NEGATIVE for FeLK/FIV, treated for parasites with Revolution, and current on all vaccinations. Kittens are always better adopted with a buddy so they always have a playmate to occupy them and keep them from getting into too much mischief, and also it gives them someone to cuddle and sleep with when their human family isn't around.
